Strengthening of Clinker Silo’s Wall by Shotcreting 300mm thickness Concrete at QNCC

Scope of Works:

• Cleaning and reshaping the horizontal area to allow proper installation of foils or HDPE sheet 1.5mm.

• Fixing 1.5mm thick HDPE sheet by mechanical fixation using aluminum strip, nails and cartridges.

• Laying 2 layers of 1mm thick Aluminum Foils on the horizontal area.

• Fixing first layer of steel reinforcement.

• Apply 150mm thick shotcrete using C40 concrete.

• Fixing second layer of steel reinforcement.

• Apply 150mm thick shotcrete using C40 concrete.

• Smoothing the surface using pre-packed mortar.
